About Fortysecond.Net
Fortysecond.Net was allocated on January 29 1999. Its name is based on the number '42' which, as you may or may not know, is the answer to Life, the Universe and Everything. The original intent was to go for 'fortysecond.com', but other people seem to have attached a similar importance to The Answer - it was already occupied. As were, one might care to know, 42.com, 42.net, fortytwo.com and fortytwo.net. On December 1 1999, I managed to acquire the 42nd.net domain.
Be that as it may, these domains are owned by Richard Karsmakers and are (ab-)used for his various web projects. They are physically located on servers of Dream Host in the US.
